Letter to the Chinese prime minister

Former Presidents and Prime Ministers appeal to Chinese President Hu Jintao.
On the initiative of Kjell Magne Bondevik, Former Prime Minister of Norway, chairman of the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights leading politicians have written a letter to Chinese President Hu Jintao. The letter calls for an inclusive dialogue for national reconciliation in Burma, and underlines that China should stand in solidarity with the international community to urge the release of Aung San Suu Kyi, leader of the Burmese opposition. The letter also invites China to put pressure on Burma’s military regime to solve the crisis.
Upon the request of the former Norwegian prime minister, who drafted the letter, Viktor Orbán joined the list of signatories with Corazon Aquino, Former President of the Philippines, Armando Calderón Sol, Former President of El Salvador, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Former President of Brasil, Václav Havel, Former president of the Czech Republic, Paavo Lipponen, Former Prime Minister of Finland, and Lionel Jospin, Former Prime Minister of France.
