Prime Minister Orbán inaugurated Teva's new Hungarian plant

2 October 2012

Prime Minister Orbán spoke at the inauguration of the Israeli Teva Pharmaceutical Industries LTD’s new Hungarian headquarters in Gödöllő, stating that the pharmaceutical industry is one of Hungary’s most successful trademarks worldwide and the Government will do everything in its power to maintain it.

The Hungarian Prime Minister underlined that be it developments or investments, the Hungarian Government is ready for further cooperation with Teva. He added that the company is also a strategic partner of the people of Hungary, since every seventh sick person in the country owes their recovery to the pharmaceutical products of Teva.

The new factory will produce sterile products, such as hypodermic needles and infusions, as well as producing strategically important oncological products, which were previously scarce commodities throughout Europe.

Prime Minister Orbán stated that everyone who provides opportunities for Hungarians through investment is our ally, and the head of Teva is such a person. Concluding his speech, he said that this investment serves the interests of the investors as well as the employees and the Hungarian economy.
